Fresh from launching their own custom-made drone fit for the rugged African terrains and scaling heights with the BARS certification, Aerial Works has now gone one better by obtaining ISO certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and Occupational Safety and Health (ISO 45001).
These guys are serious.
The ISO 9001 is confirmation that Aerial Works operates with consistent, repeatable quality across its service delivery, training, flight operations, and reporting systems.
“Every flight and every mission follows rigorously documented procedures that are continually monitored and improved,” the company said in a statement.
In getting the ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, the company said it wanted to prove that – in industries where operations can have long-term environmental consequences – high-tech solutions can, and must, minimise their impact. “Environmental responsibility is designed into the company’s fleet deployment strategies and responsible use and disposal of batteries,” it added.
The ISO 45001 meanwhile, was a thumps-up to the group treating its workforce as human beings, who must be safe at all times, regardless of where they are working and what times they are on the job
